Every participant was keen to hear what the Government had to say about this on day.
Experts from the Animation industry and Government officials
gave their valuable guidance and career making suggestions to the
students who were the major audience of the event.
Sridhar Muppidi:
co-founder of PurpleTalk:
"The industry is growing 18% a year, it means its
doubling every 4 years, the number of people, number of jobs, amount of content
consumption is literally doubling every 4 years. One of the great thing we have in Hyderabad is we have awesome
government, the Team headed by KTR, Jayesh, Saukath is really extraordinary. Small Example : Nasscom executive council of
gaming was planning to move the Nasscom conference out of Pune to other city,
and were thinking of Bangalore and I shoot out my idea of why
Bangalore why not Hyderabad, with in a minute there was meeting with the
secretary and ministry and in match of days they figured out the logistics
and was able to move a very high calibre conference to Hyderabad. It shows
the dedication of the Government in terms of expanding the
industry in Hyderabad. coming to the Employ ability , we are looking how
good are you
with your fundamentals and speed, quality, attention to
detail are very important factors and students should also exposed to what
happening in the world. we want people who are exposed to different
culture. You should think beyond India in terms of quality."
Mike: Team leader
SEO in Rotomaker:
"TVAGA - Telagana Vfx Animation Gaming Association, we
form this association to bring the echo-system to bring all the
industries here and market globally. Tvaga is group of 20k artists all over
India, mostly from Telangana. The association is bringing out many policies to
help you students and employees as well. There are lot of opportunists
in industry, students need to look into that, all you need to have passion,
stay focused and be proud to be part of creative industry."
S S Rajamouli: Film
Director:
"Money is a big motivator for all of us, we all need
money, strangest thing about money is if we run after money it goes away, but
if we run after our goal and passion, it comes behind us. All of you
wants to become animators, Directors, Artists, etc but ultimately you need money,
but aim for higher, be experts in our field and run after your passion,
you should keep money aside, you cannot think of money and passion at
same time. If you find happiness in your passion, after long time the money
success follows you, but believe me at that time money doesn't matter a lot.
but in the process of going after the passion, you will see other people
having better life than you, enjoying weekend, holidays, parties,
where as you have to work beyond your office hours, on weekends. This is
the time where you need to have positive attitude, right frame of mind, not
to get distracted by others. Just follow your passion. As you are
getting expertise, don't compare your work with some substandard work
happening
around you. Compare your work with what you think is best. I
am very happy that the government, Industries, Colleges all are
collaborating and giving you support to flourish. Don’t expect them to give you job,
just take their support and you struggle hard create your job/money."
Jayesh Ranjan :
It-secretary Govt.of Telangana
"I am very encouraged by this large turnout, behalf of
government of Telangana we are betting a very big on this industry, we know
that this industry have tremendous potential in India. The industry
already exists in quite cities of India like Hyderabad, Bangalore, Mumbai,
Delhi. There is no single city in India which have really came out to be
the real hub of Animation, gaming industry. All the cities are doing good
but there is no single city which is on leadership position. We wish that
Hyderabad
should emerge as that one city. That is only possible if
there is lots of enthusiasm ,receptivity, stakeholders. Fact is that lot of
students interested in this line of activity, whatever you are
pursuing, it’s very is easy to shift to this area because multimedia, animation,
vfx, gaming etc have lots of interfaces with disciplines also,
particularly other branches of engineering. This is one filed where there is
scope for tremendous amount of creativity. All we know the industry
today got very much boost because of the movie Bhahubali and i am very pride
that the talent we see in Hollywood is available here as well. we are creating high quality space for this industry, so that
a very focused cluster emerges. That is called Image tower. It’s
very iconic building. This will be the new face of the Hyderabad. Lots of
common facilities will be available to the industry in the building. Location is opposite to in-orbit mall. We are also looking for getting some international
universities setting up their campuses here and also very happy to share that
Vancouver film school, very famous in north America they have agreed to have
their classes in Hyderabad from next academic year onward. Tvaga also is working on the agenda for skill developing
programs."
