E on Software releases Release R6 of VUE 2016 Plant Factory 2016

June 29th, 2018
E-on software, a main worldwide developer of software for the Creation, Rendering, Animation, and integration of regular 3D environments situations in the Computer Graphics, Architecture, Visual Effects (VFX), and Gaming industries, today announced the prompt accessibility of release 6 (R6) of its VUE and PlantFactory 2016 software.
Among the many novelties:
Improved graphical interface efficiency, mouse-centered navigation, MetaCloud technology improvements, 6x faster generation for ecosystem generation, the population for ecosystems with native instances for 3dsMax, Maya and Cinema4D, LightWave 2018 support, and more.
Press release at:
A press release is a text written by the press office of a company or a public body to inform about an event or an event in an official manner. It is disseminated to the media and social networks on the web. Signed by a press officer, it contains all the useful data to compose journalistically articles related to the news contained in it.
Key New Features in VUE 2016 R6:
UI/UX and navigation improvements:
· New mouse-centered and advanced target-centered scene navigation modes
· Vastly improved display speed and UI responsiveness
· 10% faster rendering of very large EcoSystem populations
· Up to 6x faster EcoSystem cache generation
· Several improvements on MetaCloud technology
· VUE xStream now supports LightWave 2018
· EcoSystem populations with native instances in 3dsMax, Maya and Cinema4D
Performance:
· Faster overall read and write mechanisms
· 10% faster rendering of very large EcoSystem populations
· Up to 6x faster EcoSystem cache generation
Atmospheric effects and lighting:
· Image based lighting (IBL) importance sampling greatly improves lighting accuracy
· Set gamma corrections for environment maps
· Randomize cloud layers parameters
· Several improvements on MetaCloud technology (density production, auto scale,
· additional volumetric material roughness and more)
Interoperability improvements:
· VUE xStream now supports LightWave 2018
· Dramatically faster EcoSystem display
· EcoSystem display quality can be set for each item in the population list, and setto box, point cloud, billboard or geometry
EcoSystem populations with native instances in 3dsMax, Maya and Cinema4D
· Populate EcoSystems onto native assets
· Add native assets/proxies to EcoSystem population lists
· Load scenes created with Carbon Scatter
Key new features in PlantFactory 2016 R6
Creative tools:
1.New diamond leaves node:
· Adds subdivision boost, mid-rib angle and curvature parameters forprecise fine tuning
· Allows massive savings on polygon footprint
· New diamond shape cutout from regular texture maps and new diamond
· UV mode (45° tilted texture map) for optimizing polygon space
2.Seasonal material editor dedicated to Bentley LumenRT real-time engine
Set as many season steps as necessary (each step relates to a specific set of
textures and color shift)
New color-shift mask to apply seasonal color shift only where it matters
(e.g. leaves but not branches)
Complete animation toolset to handle gradual seasonality changes
throughout the plant lifecycle
3.Flower node improvements:
§ New dedicated 2D profile filter editor to easily add more flower geometry
complexity
Updated trumpet flower node to take advantage of new 2D filter
New flower gravitropism parameter to simulate gravity effects on flowers
Availability:
· Release 6 (R6) is available as a free trial versions and software update for all registered users of VUE and PlantFactory 2016. Users can download the 2016 R6 trial
· All VUE and PlantFactory 2016 software titles are available in English, French and German andperform under all versions of Windows 7, Windows 8, and Windows 10 (64 bit only), and Mac Intel (64 bit) for MacOSX 10.7+.
