The “Kochadaiiyaan” movie is an upcoming 3D animated movie and it will be released in six regional languages like Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Punjabi, Bhojpuri and Marathi. The film will have a dubbed English version release at the international screens. The movie will be making history in Indian Cinema and it has been shot with animation techniques. The audio and trailer of the movie would be released at a function in Chennai on 9 March in Tamil, Hindi and Telugu languages. Eros International and Media One Global Entertainment are the producers of the movie, which is directed by Rajinikanth’s daughter, Soundarya R Ashwin. The music is scored by double Oscar winner AR Rahman and sound recording by another Oscar winner Resul Pookutty.
In the meantime, Karbonn Cell phones, one of the film’s sponsors is planning to undertake a massive marketing campaign for the film. Hoardings and banners of the film will be displayed at 3,650 Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd petrol outlets in Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh. Neeta Lulla, the National Award winning fashion designer has worked on the looks of each and every role, including the lead role portrayed by Rajinikanth. The movie posters depicted that the film utilizes performance, capturing technology, same as that used in films for example, Avatar (2009) and The Adventures of Tintin (2011), making Kochadaiiyaan the first Indian film to involve so.

Kochadaiiyaan movie is based on the historical character by the same name, who was an emperor of the 8th century. The name literally means a king who has long and curly hair. It is an animated 3D motion capture film. South Indian film’s most loved actors, Rajinikanth, will be featured in the film, voicing and acting out 3 of the lead roles. The other important and supporting characters will be voiced and enacted by famous actors like Deepika Padukone, Aadhi, R.Sarathkumar, Shobana, Nassar, Jackie Shroff and Rukmini Vijaykumar. Phenakistoscope (1831) A phenakistoscope disc by Eadweard Muybridge (1893).The phenakistoscope was an early animation device. It was invented in 1831 simultaneously by the Belgian Joseph Plateau and the Austrian Simon von Stampfer. It consists of a disk with a series of images, drawn on radii evenly spaced around the center of the disk. Slots are cut out of the disk on the same radii as the drawings, but at a different distance from the center. The device would be placed in front of a mirror and spun. As the phenakistoscope is spun, a viewer would look through the slots at the reflection of the drawings which would only become visible when a slot passes by the viewer's eye. This created the illusion of animation.
